BALTIMORE — A complex water main break earlier this week in West Baltimore has caused residents in the Poe Homes to be without water for four days.
DPW Contractors are now installing a fix for the broken 20-inch valve affecting the water supply. Crews are also working to install a temporary 6-inch water line for the community to access in the meantime.
The Department is providing jugs of water to residents for consumption, cooking purposes, and flushing while repairs are made.
It's unclear on when water service will be fully restored.
City Council President Brandon Scott released a statement on the issue via Twitter.
