Former actor from 'The Wire' who escaped from custody has been found

BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Baltimore Police say they've found and arrested a former actor who escaped from their custody at a hospital last week.

33-year-old Christopher Clanton, Sr. was arrested last Thursday in Northeast Baltimore for violating a protective order.

Before being booked, police took him to Good Samaritan Hospital for a pre-existing medical condition.

He escaped from the hospital the next day.

Police located Clanton Friday at his home in the 2400 block of Llewellyn Avenue and took him back into custody.

For two seasons, Clanton played 'Detective Savino Bratton' on the Baltimore based HBO series 'The Wire'
