Fire officials confirm a body was found inside a burning boat in South Baltimore Tuesday night.
Around 9:30 p.m. fire crews responded to 3500 2nd Street for a report of a fire. Crews found a boat on fire and put out the flames in about 10 minutes. A search of the boat revealed an unidentified body inside.
Fire Department Spokesman Roman Clark said the address is a privately-owned abandoned boatyard.
The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office.
