The Board of Estimates will pay $100,000 to a woman who said she was injured during a "rough ride" in a police van.
Cierra Brooks filed a lawsuit after being arrested in 2012.
Brooks claimed she was waiting for a ride outside a nightclub in August of that year, when a police officer assaulted her and dragged her through the street before tossing her into a police van.
In her lawsuit, Brooks said she was handcuffed, but not secured in a seat belt, during the ride in.
