A blind and deaf senior pit bull mix is now up for adoption at BARCS thanks to the help of a Baltimore City police officer.

The dog was found covered in feces and thorns wandering along a median strip on a busy roadway Tuesday.

Baltimore Police said the dog was found on the median strip at Greenspring Drive and Druid Park Drive.

His rescuer, Officer Kelly Steinhorn, took to Facebook Tuesday with photos of the dog she and another officer were able to rescue and deliver to BARCS for care.

Steinhorn said the pup is a sweetie, and hopes he finds a good home.
