BALTIMORE — Friday is Bike to Work Day, and cyclists around the region can take advantage of the beautiful weather and local events to enjoy their two-wheeled trips.

The free event features 115 stops in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Pit stops with refreshments, raffles, and free T-shirts popped up to celebrate cycling and encourage more riders to trip out a new commute.

In Maryland, riders will find one stop in Carroll County, two in Howard County, four in Harford County, seven in Baltimore County, 11 in Anne Arundel County, and 22 in Baltimore City.

Local cycling advocacy group Bikemore is happy to tout the day’s festivities, hoping to encourage more city rides and running the Old Goucher Pit Stop.
