Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run crash involving a dump truck

A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving a dump truck Monday afternoon. 

Baltimore Police said the crash happened around 1:25 p.m. in the intersection of Chester and Chase streets. Officers found a 54-year-old man who had been hit by a vehicle, and he was taken to an area hospital, where he died. 

Police believe the man was riding a bicycle in the 1100 block of Chester Street when he was struck by a dump truck.

The truck did not remain at the scene and was last seen traveling northbound on Chester Street.
