This Sunday's game is not just a home Ravens game, it's the Ravens vs. Redskins and on a whole other level.
The game kicks off this weekend and is followed quickly by Fleet Week. As far as scheduled events, Baltimore has is booked for the next two weeks.
Fleet Week will be the first time Baltimore is hosting the naval tradition and the city is already asking residents to prepare.
"We've adopted the phrase use your feet to see the fleet as our tagline because we anticipate a large number of people of visitors and we highly recommend that those participating in either or both of the events to use the metro to get in and round downtown,” Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said.
That other event the mayor is referring to is the 16th annual running festival which Saturday October 15. Fifteen thousand runners from all over the world will clash with the tremendous draw of Maryland's first Fleet Week.
And that does even include what could happen if the other birds of Baltimore are successful in Toronto Tuesday night.
"I am an extreme optimist. I think the Orioles are going to win tonight and then we will have the Orioles here as well,” said Kirby Fowler with Downtown Partnership.
Camden Yards was cleaned and prepped Tuesday, including the installation of some postseason dressing in the dugouts.
No one was getting ahead of themselves here, this is part of the MLB Postseason logo mandated to be installed at the parks of all 10 competing teams beginning today.
Still, a win Tuesday means a game in Baltimore Sunday and a win of that series may mean more games the following week.
It is a hopeful playoff run stitched into a city that will already be busting at the seams.
Fowler said it would be the perfect book end to a year that has already set records in downtown Baltimore.
"When you think of Light City starting off the convention season in March and April and then this is October I think these are nice cap ends to the season for the convention season and that will keep the momentum going until the holidays… we love busy weekends and the busier the better," Fowler said.
