BALTIMORE — A firearms instructor was briefly detained Wednesday after a shooting occurred during training.
Baltimore Police say the incident took place around 6pm in the 4500 block of Edmondson Avenue.
Officers discovered a 23-year-old woman attending the class who'd been shot in the leg.
Detectives believe the instructor was demonstrating gun safety when the weapon accidentally discharged striking the student.
Police say the instructor was held for questioning, and later released without charges being filed.
The victim is listed as stable.
