Baltimore City councilwoman partners with local super market to support families in need for the holidays

BALITMORE — A Baltimore City councilmember is ensuring families have a little cheer this holiday season.

Councilmember Phylicia Porter, in partnership with SuperFresh Super Market on West Pratt Street, distributed 100 gift cards to Baltimore families in need this holiday season.

The event occurred Friday morning.

Each gift card was worth $25 to help with grocery store purchases.

Officials say the partnership aimed to bring "relief, joy, and support" to Baltimore homes during the holidays.
