BALTIMORE — It's the second night of Hanukkah and Baltimore is celebrating with the Jewish community.

Monday was the 6th annual lighting ceremony of the City Hall menorah.

Several members of the community were there and there was a special performance from the Chedar Chabad of Baltimore Choir.

"This is the season that we appreciate the many miracle large and small that have graced our lives throughout generations and to recognize the most meaningful among them is our freedom," said Besty Gardner, Deputy Director of the Mayor's Office of Neighborhoods.

At Monday's event, Mayor Jack Young handed out the inaugural Hanukkah Shining Light Awards to those that have made a difference in the Jewish community.
