Approximately 450 electric customers and 270 gas customers are out of service in downtown Ellicott City. BGE says gas and electric services have been turned off in the Main Street area of Ellicott City to ensure safety.

In areas where there was heavy flooding, there will most likely be extended outages of electric and gas service until infrastructure can be fully inspected and in some cases rebuilt.

The surrounding affected areas such as southwestern Baltimore County and Baltimore City and along the Frederick Road corridor have had gas and electric service temporarily suspended until property owners are able to have their equipment inspected and restored when it is safe.

BGE asks all customers, including those with smart meters, to report their outage from a safe location. Click here for more information
