MILLERSVILLE, Md. (WMAR) — Anne Arundel County Police on Thursday welcomed wounded detective Ian Preece back into town.
Preece and Detective Scott Ballard were shot in the line of duty on February 5 after trying to pull over 22-year-old Joseph Willis, who was allegedly driving a murder victim's stolen car.
The incident sparked an overnight manhunt for the suspect.

Police say Preece had been recovering out of state.
In a Facebook post, the department released a video showing an entire motorcade escorting Preece back into Anne Arundel County.
