MILLERSVILLE, Md. — Two men were flown to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore with potentially life-threatening injuries after being ejected from their car following an accident in Crownsville, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said Monday.

Fire and EMS personnel responded to the single-vehicle accident in the 1100 block of Sunrise Beach Road at about 1:25 a.m. Saturday. Fire officials said a 28-year-old man and a 38-year-old man were ejected from the car they were traveling in after it left the road and struck a tree.

The men were suffering from injuries determined to be critical and possibly life threatening, fire officials said. They were taken by Maryland State Police helicopters to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma. A 32-year-old woman who was in the rear of the car was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries.
