GLEN BURNIE — A man was shot after being forced into a minivan in Glen Burnie.

On Tuesday, just before 3p.m. officers responded to Crain Court and Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers found a 48-year-old man who was shot.

The victim says he was sitting in his car on Crain Highway when he was approached by two men. One of the assailants showed the victim a gun and instructed him to get out of his vehicle.

Police say the victim was then forced into a minivan by both suspects. Both vehicles were driven about a quarter of a mile when the victim struggled over a gun with one of the suspects.

The suspect then shot the victim in his upper torso. The suspects fled in the victim's vehicle, a silver 2003 Toyota 4Runner. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as males both wearing yellow or orange work vests.

Investigators believe this to be a targeted attack. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 410-222-4720 or the TipLine at 410-222-4700.
