The new Live! Casino Hotel and Spa opens on Wednesday and it also includes a large event center and new places to eat.
The Hotel and Spa is the tallest building in Anne Arundel County and features 310 rooms, a spa, Luckies, David's Restaurant, a 1,500 seat performance hall, and an art gallery featuring works by Andy Warhol, Jennifer Steinkamp, Charlie Ahn and Nick Cave.
At the spa, you can actually book a room and stay in the spa for the night, and the art gallery isn't in one room but scattered across the entire hotel. There are 40 pieces that you can discover by wandering the halls.
Luckies is their dessert shop where you can get Starbucks coffee, cakes, cookies, breakfast, quick sandwiches, and Italian gelato, and David's is a 24-hour cafe that serves breakfast as well as other treats all day!
Their breakfast signatures include David's French Toast and Pan-cakes, which are actually part cake. For dinner, you can enjoy a giant meatball stuffed with mozzarella or their crab on crab, which is a crab cake on top of a crab. The dishes are inspired by David, a Chairman of Live! Casino, and the cuisine he has seen all over the world during his travels.
Owners of the new hotel say that they are creating around 500 new jobs in the area and there are 1,000 extra parking spaces added around the casino as well.
These new additions come a month after Live! opened its new gaming and smoking patio.
