New bills protecting Maryland's environment were signed into law today. Governor Larry Hogan held a bill signing ceremony at the city dock in Annapolis.

Nearly 20 bills were signed, including several he proposed himself.

"The Chesapeake Bay is one of the greatest natural resources in the country, it's something that we have to protect," Gov. Hogan said. "We've got bills that we've worked together with on both sides of the aisle to protect the air, protect the water and protect the soil, and we are going to continue to do it."
