Fire crews removes a suspicious package in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Annapolis Fire Department said crew members removed a suspicious package at a home in the capital city.

At 9:53 a.m., fire crews from Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Fire Department Hazmat/Special operations unit were called to the unit block of Maryland Ave for a suspicious package.

According to officials, hazmat crews went into the home and found a package that was received from China two weeks ago.

The department said two patients were taken to the hospital and there were no injuries to the responding fire crews.
