Spring break is getting shorter for Anne Arundel County students.
The Board of Education is expected to approve the 2017-2018 school year calendar Wednesday.
The vote would approve Gov. Hogan’s executive order to start school after Labor Day and end classes by June 15.
To accommodate the late start, school officials are cutting Spring break down to three days, but the break could be even shorter in the event of inclement weather. The district said it plans to reduce the number of snow days built into the calendar from five to three.
Officials are scheduled to meet Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. in Annapolis.
