2-alarm building fire in Glen Burnie

The Anne Arundel fire department responded to a building fire in the 1700 block of Crain Highway South in Glen Burnie just before 3 a.m. Monday morning. 
 
Officials reported smoke coming from a barber shop within a one-story commercial building. A second alarm was requested which brought 50 firefighters to the scene.  
 
The fire controlled in less than 20 minutes with little damage to the adjoining businesses. The incident is currently under investigation by members of the Fire and Explosives.
 
Building damage is estimated at $100,000.
