Nearly a quarter of Democratic voters in a new poll say they're undecided about Maryland's U.S. Senate race.
The poll released Wednesday by Goucher College in Towson finds 39 percent of those polled plan to vote for Rep. Donna Edwards in the April 26 Democratic primary. Thirty-seven percent support Rep. Chris Van Hollen. The difference is within the poll's margin of error of 5.6 percentage points, indicating the race is tight between the leading Democrats.
But about 23 percent of those polled say they haven't decided on a candidate.
The poll surveyed 307 likely Democratic voters last week.
The primary will choose a nominee for the seat of Barbara Mikulski, who is retiring.
