Couple, 2-year-old son among those killed in Tennessee tornadoes

TENNESSEE — A Tennessee couple and their young son are among the victims of the tornadoes that came through Middle Tennessee late Monday and into Tuesday.

24 people are were killed, according to the state's governor Bill Lee and officials confirmed Tuesday morning that 156 people were transported to the hospital in Davidson County and 50 buildings across the state were destroyed by the storm.

According to Lee, the fatalities were spread across four counties in Middle Tennessee.

Among the victims were a couple, Josh and Erin Kimberlin, and their 2-year-old son, Sawyer.

“Josh, Erin, and Sawyer are all in heaven together,” a family member wrote on Facebook. “We’re devastated with this news. They were a beautiful family.”

A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for the family’s funeral expenses.
