Montgomery County Police investigating robbery at Navy Federal Credit Union

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Detectives with Montgomery County are investigating a robbery that took place at the Navy Federal Credit Union in Gaithersburg on Monday.

At approximately 5:50 p.m., officers responded to the Navy Federal Credit Union located at 104 Ellington Boulevard for the report of a robbery.

Detectives found a suspect approached a teller and passed a note announcing the robbery. The suspect then demanded cash and implied that he was armed with a weapon.

He then fled from the bank after obtaining the money.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned man wearing hospital scrubs, a black Adidas cap, glasses, and some kind of cover on his head.

Anyone with information about the suspect or this bank robbery is asked to contact the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.
