BALTIMORE — With snow in the forecast, trash and recycling collections for Thursday have been canceled.

The make-up day for the Thursday collection cancellation is Saturday.

In addition, due to the expected inclement weather, the following DPW facilities will be CLOSED:

  • Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, 2840 Sisson Street
  • Southwestern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 701 Reedbird Avenue
  • Eastern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 6101 Bowleys Lane

The following DPW facilities will remain OPEN:

  • The Northwest Transfer Station, 5030 Reisterstown Road
  • Quarantine Road Landfill, 6100 Quarantine Road.

Snow and ice make many residential streets and alleys impassable.

In addition, drivers are often called on to help the City’s Department of Transportation to plow and clear the roads.

Residents are reminded of the need to keep trash in bags and secured inside durable trash cans with tight-fitting lids.
