ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — Anne Arundel County didn't get as much snow as it's neighbors to the north and east, but parts of the county still saw quite a mess.
As the day progressed and the plows made some headway on the road ways, they turned their attention to the parking lots. County schools were closed today, both virtual and in-person learning. That kept more people at home and more room for plow drivers to do their work.
From midnight to noon Thursday there were 22 crashes on county roads, only two had minor injuries. Hopefully, overnight won't be as challenging now that the plows have had a chance to get ahead of the game.
As temperatures hover right around freezing for the rest of the night, they will keep an eye on things. Salting and clearing, that's the motto here in Anne Arundel County.
