WESTMINSTER, Md. — Westminster Police Officers have arrested and charged the suspect who is responsible for a series of automobile thefts.
In early January 2021, investigators named 25-year-old Gabel Sierra-Jimenez as that suspect.
Based on investigative leads, they were able to obtain a search warrant for his residence, which they executed on January 24. Detectives recovered evidence linking him to multiple theft cases and, as a result, applied for charges and received an arrest warrant.
On January 27, officers located and arrested Sierra-Jimenez.
He has been charged with multiple counts of theft and related offenses as a result of the investigation into a spree of car thefts between December 27, 2020 and January 7, 2021.
Sierra-Jimenez was transported to the Carroll County Detention Center where he was initially held on a “no-bond” status.
