FREDERICK, Md. — Frederick County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened at Jackson's Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon.

At about 2:45 p.m., officers were called to Jackson's Chapel, which is located in the 5600 block of Ballenger Creek Pike in Frederick County, after a reported shooting. A funeral service was taking place at the time of the incident.

Deputies arrived to the scene and found out that two victims were suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, and, although both victims were taken to area hospitals, the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time. They are, however, believed to be non-life threatening.

It was reported that the suspect fled the area prior to the arrival of emergency personnel, so detectives are currently on the scene attempting to determine suspect information. Although the suspect has not yet been located, the Sheriff's Office does not believe that this was a random shooting.

Frederick County Sheriff officials released images of the person they believe to be the suspect involved in the shooting.
