ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY — This storm started as snow and now it's turned to a rain mix. Most of the roads are cleared but that doesn't mean we didn't have some problems earlier.
As the snow piled up in Anne Arundel County, so did the problems. Solomons Island Road had it's problems as well as I-97.
Just south of the Benfield Blvd. exit, a multi car collision cause problems on 97. No one was seriously injured or killed.
As the storm carried on, pretreating the roads helped and crews were able to get a head of the game. Just getting the car ready was a big task for Enia Walker.
"That was actually a headache. Even defrosting the car took for ever and it was so hard to get all that ice of my car. I still have a little on the top, I'm only 4-11 so that was really a task," said Walker.
Community roads improved as the day went on. Highway crews that have been working through the weekend will stay on the roads treating them until the temperature gets above freezing.
The temperature will hover right around freezing and the wind will pick up. We'll see how that effects driving overnight.
