BALTIMORE — Police are investigating after a man was found dead inside his Baltimore home.
On Saturday, at about 3:50 p.m., officers received a call to check a well-being at a home in the 300 block of E. 23rd Street.
When officers arrived, they met a landlord who allowed them access to the home.
Once inside the home, officers found 49-year-old Dereck Jackson, who lives at the location, suffering from obvious head trauma.
The victim's remains were removed from the home and taken to the Medical Examiner's office where a cause of death will be determined.
