Police: 4-year-old killed by Methadone intoxication in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police say a 4-year-old boy who died in October was killed by Methadone intoxication.

On October 30, 2020, at about 9:27 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to Johns Hopkins Hospital for a report of a child death.

Once at the location, officers located 4-year-old Deyonte Davis, who was recently pronounced dead by doctors.

Investigators noticed no signs of foul play to the victim’s body and the body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.

On January 5, 2021, Homicide detectives were notified that this case had been ruled a homicide due to Methadone intoxication.
