LEISURE WORLD, md. — A woman has died after a three-alarm fire in Leisure World overnight.
Officials say around 1:30a.m. they headed to 15210 Elkridge Way, off N Leisure World Blvd for a fire.
After dozens were evacuated without injury, early this morning officials located a missing resident dead in her apartment.
The incident caused $2.5 million in damages and left fifty people without a home.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire but firefighters say it probably started on a third floor balcony, moved to the roof and burned undetected for a long period of time.
