BALTIMORE, md. — A Baltimore organization is helping families in need this holiday season. Kim Ridley, the Director of Miracles 'N More Community Outreach Center always focuses on helping the homeless and those less fortunate in the community.

"I once was a less fortunate mom and people came out of everywhere to help so my give back us to always pay it forward," said Ridley. Her motto is together we do it better and win.

This year, because of the pandemic, she knew some families needed a little extra help. She sponsored five families and got everything the children put on their Christmas list. They got tablets and even game stop gift cards. "We like to give kids things they like they need and that they’re actually gonna play with," said Ridley. She added, "6we can go in the dollar store and by ten, dollar items all day long but what is this kid's generations kids gonna do with that? If they’re not on a tablet, phone, getting on YouTube then the toys and money spent is really void."

They also collected hats and gloves to keep everyone warm this winter. She also got some books to encourage children to keep reading.

WMAR-2 met up with Ridley at a State Farm Office on Bel Air Road. The agent there said he always helps with Ridley's mission.

"She gives directly to our community," said John Bugg, State Farm agent. He added, "this is a time we keep hearing that we’re gonna get through this together but we wanna make sure we do everything we can do to support those not only in our community but anyone we can help."

They do have some toys and donations left over so if you need some extra help right now or would like to donate for their next endeavor, click here or call Ridley a either 410-585-7751 or 443-691-2785.
