The restaurant said the employee was initially tested in hopes of returning to Towson for college.

According to Looney's, they received the news Saturday evening and immediately began all necessary proceedings to ensure the safety of their employees, families, and customers.

After learning the news, they closed early and informed their entire staff of the situation. They will remain closed through Sunday and will be working closely with the local health departments to help in any way possible.

The employee who tested positive was tested at Towson University on Aug. 20 and received their results on Saturday.

As a precaution, all staff who worked Aug. 19 through Aug. 21 with the individual, will be tested before returning to work.

In addition to continuing their staff pre-screening (to include but not limited to temperature checks, continued hand-washing, and monitoring), they will also have a thorough cleaning/disinfecting of the restaurant.
