BALTIMORE (WMAR) — A local professional wrestler says his leukemia has returned.

R.J. Meyer better known to fans as Maryland Championship Wrestling's The Bruiser, underwent a bone marrow transplant back in October 2019.

He'd been diagnosed with leukemia in March of that Year, after feeling his heart beating differently at the gym and later noticing lumps throughout his body.

On Thursday morning Meyer posted on his Facebook that he will have a pet scan in the next couple of days, and begin his treatment on February 3.

In his post Meyer said "Thank you for the continued prayers, love, and support. I know that together we will get through this again."
