EMMITSBURG, Md. — Frederick County Sheriff's deputies are looking to identify a man who has been seen suspiciously lurking around the Emmitsburg area.

The latest incident happened January 23, when the man mysteriously appeared on campus at Mount Saint Mary’s University.

He left when approached by campus security.

Days earlier on January 19, the same man reportedly followed two women in and out of Jubilee Foods located nearby on E. Main Street.

Witnesses and store surveillance cameras revealed the man followed both women throughout the store and stood behind them at the checkout line despite purchasing no items.

As the women left the store, the man got into a white Honda and followed them out of the parking lot toward W. Main Street.

The women ultimately got away once they hit a traffic light.

Police have been unable to get the vehicle tag number. The man was last seen wearing a short sleeve orange and white button up shirt with dark colored blue jeans, black shoes, and a dark colored jacket.
