TOWSON, Md. — While online and in-person learning continues to be closed at least through Tuesday, Baltimore County Public Schools is organizing what they're calling “confidence checks” on staff computers.
The goal is to track which staff members are in possession of school-issued devices compromised by last Wednesday's ransomware attack.

Any employee found to have a defective device, will be given a new one instead.
As of Monday, the school system said it believed Chromebooks and related google accounts were not impacted but were still evaluating Windows based devices such as HP Revolves or Probooks.

The checks will occur over the next two days.
Teachers will be given specific time slots based on grade level, which will be split into groups based on the schools each are based out of.
Here is a breakdown of when and where each educator is expected to report to have their computer inspected.
Monday, November 30: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Preschool - Grade 2; Special Education Teachers; Related Service Providers; Principals; Assistant Principals, Designated SAT Coordinators and AP Coordinators for only 12/5/20 SAT sites.
Monday, November 30: 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Grades 3 - 5; Special Area Teachers
Tuesday, December 1: 10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
