Anne Arundel County loosens restaurant restrictions

More changes are coming for businesses in Anne Arundel County.

Indoor dining moves to 50 percent capacity and now movie theaters and bingo halls, that have been closed altogether, can open to 25 percent capacity. The county executive did not have any answers for outdoor dining capacities, churches or rec league sports.

Many county residents are upset about the vaccine roll out. Anne Arundel County like other jurisdictions have had problems getting the vaccine.

"I think it's going to get better, I hope it's going to get better. I actually have a meeting with the governor to talk about ways that we can coordinate better," County Executive Steuart Pittman said.

Restaurants will still have to follow social distance for tables, closing by 10 and masks must be worn.

Pittman says he is relinquishing the harsher restrictions because the post holiday spike was much less than they expected.
