70-year-old bicyclist dies after being struck by car Monday morning in Odenton

ODENTON, Md. — A 70-year-old bicyclist died Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning in Odenton.

Anne Arundel County Police got the call around 7:40 a.m. at the the intersection of Piney Orchard Parkway and Old Waugh Chapel Road.

A Honda Civic heading south on Piney Orchard hit Stephen Joel Marx as he was riding across intersection from Old Waugh Chapel.

Marx was taken to a hospital where he later died.

The driver and passenger of the Honda were not injured.

Investigators don't believe drugs or alcohol played a factor.
