High winds from storms leave damage across state

Thunderstorms in Maryland wreaked havoc in some areas with downed trees and damaged buildings.

In Woodlawn, the high winds caused a satellite dish and debris to fly off the social security building, shattering windows and causing part of the roof to fly off. One employee was hurt and taken to the hospital.

Several trees went down all over Baltimore City and County. A tree down on I-83 South at the Northern Parkway exit caused traffic to back up before crews could remove the tree.

One tree went down on a house on the 3000-block of W. Northern Parkway, and another tree went down on Reisterstown Road and McDonough Road.

We also learned that a big tree was uprooted along Lake Avenue between Roland Road and Falls Road.
