The more children a woman has could lower her risk for dementia.

That's according to a study by researchers at the Kaiser Permanente.

They found women with three or more children had a 12% lower risk of developing dementia compared to a woman with only one child.

Pregnancy failures, however, increase a woman's risk for dementia.

Women who suffered three or more miscarriages had a 47% higher risk of dementia, compared to women who never lost a baby.
