The number of women having heart attacks during pregnancy or after delivery is on the rise.

That's according to a new study published in the journal "Mayo Clinic Proceedings."

The risk rose 25% from 2002 to 2014.

That may be because women are having children later in life, or because of an increase in obesity and diabetes.

However, the risk of a heart attack during pregnancy is still rare.
