At the Breast Center at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, “No More Sleepless Nights” is a reality.

This unique program provides an immediate full comprehensive review of your mammogram, additional views as needed, ultrasound, and even 3-D Tomosynthesis (the cutting edge technology which provides the most detailed mammographic imaging).

If an abnormality is identified that requires biopsy, the Breast Center surgeons perform a detailed consultation and biopsy as indicated right at the time of the initial visit. Pathology reports and follow-up discussions and consultations are usually available within 24 hours.

By reducing six to eight weeks of repeated visits for additional radiologic studies, biopsies, surgical consultations and many sleepless nights to just one, this unique paradigm of care provides patients with a quick treatment plan.

Backed by the multi-disciplinary approach of the Cancer Institute, which includes a comprehensive and complete evaluation by 30 physicians and clinicians, representing every discipline related to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of breast cancer, patients can expect expert state-of-the-art care in a compassionate and caring environment by acknowledged experts in their respective fields.

As a recognized affiliate of the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, patients have access to a full range of clinical trials and programs.
