Merck has joined some fellow pharmaceutical giants in pledging to limit drug price increases in the United States.

Merck also said it's cutting the price of Zepatier, a drug that treats hepatitis C, by 60%.

It's also reducing the prices of six other medications by 10% each.

Novartis and Pfizer previously said they would limit drug prices increases, after President Trump bashed Pfizer for what he called the company's plans to raise prices "for no reason."
