Harris Teeter is informing all customers that they are recalling their Low Fat Frozen Yogurt Cookies & Cream because of an undeclared peanut product.

They were notified of the issue by a consumer who noticed that there were peanut butter cups in the ice cream. After an investigation, they were able to determine that it was caused by a mix-up of cartons and products.

The frozen yogurt was distributed to Harris Teeter stores in DC, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia since July 6.

The company says that the recall applies to the brand's 1.5-quart laminated cartons, UPC 0 72036 98182 0, with all 'sell by dates' up to July 30, 2019.

Consumers who bought the ice cream can return it to Harris Teeter for a full refund.

If you have any questions regarding the recall, contact Harris Teeter’s Customer Relations Department at 1-800-432- 6111, and select option 2. Representatives are available Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 6pm EST.
