GBMC orthopaedic surgeons offer a full range of orthopaedic services including surgical and non-surgical treatments, physical therapy, fracture repair, and more.
The offices recently underwent a redesign to allow for surgical suites, examination rooms, and a back area where providers can collaborate with each other, review x-rays, and update patient information. The goal of the redesign was to decrease patient wait times.
The orthopaedic offices also offer convenient walk in hours so patients can be seen by a professional orthopaedist without wasting time in an ER or Urgent Care.
Dr. James C. Johnston is one of the orthopaedic surgeons in the group, and he was who RN Donna Linder turned to for her total hip replacement. After her hip surgery, Donna’s colleagues couldn't believe how well she was getting around. She was even able to ski seven weeks after surgery. “It made such a difference in my life. No pain. I can do anything.”
Now Donna shares her experience with patients who are nervous. “It makes them feel pretty good to hear that I came through it like I did.”
Only 20-30% of orthopaedic patients need surgery. The team can treat everything from fractures and sports injuries in children to bumps, bruises, and strains in the elderly.
