BALTIMORE, Md. — Buy a meal, make a difference.

On Tuesday December 8, if you buy breakfast, lunch or dinner at any of the 42 Baltimore-area Chick-fil-A restaurants, a portion of the proceeds will go to Kennedy Krieger Institute.

Lisa Scott, the marketing director for the Baltimore-area restaurants, said they usually sponsor Santaland at Kennedy Krieger's Festival of Trees. Since the event was virtual this year, Scott said they decided to do this day-long fundraiser to show support.

"We put our heads together and we wanted to do something that brought more awareness to Kennedy Krieger. Obviously they did a virtual Festival of Trees, which was wonderful, but ticket sales and all the things they couldn’t do, we wanted to bring more attention to them and do something a little bigger in the fundraising capacity," she said.
