A three alarm fire sent smoke billowing out of the mall at Tyson's Corner around 6:30 Friday evening.
It started in a restaurant on the main level near the Barnes and Noble and quickly spread to the roof.
There were no reports of injuries, but they did have to evacuate the AMC wing of the mall.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
