Three Maryland teachers are being honored by The Goddard School as Teachers of the Year.

The Goddard School has over 460 locations nationwide, but it was teachers from the Urbana and Gaithersburg location in Maryland that are getting recognition.

Mary Kirkwood and Alison Haller are junior kindergarten teachers at the Urbana location. They won this award with their hard work and valuable contributions to the classroom and the community. Both created a plan that educated pre-schoolers on how to have a better sense of community and giving to others. They also found a way to have families work with their children to give back to a chosen charity each month.

Amanda Olenwine is at The Goddard School in Gaithersburg and is highly loved by parents, students, faculty, and staff. She is known for being very hands-on by instructing a small guided reading group, or sitting with her students to have engaged conversations during lunch.

Congrats to Amanda, Alison, and Mary!
