Mildred Samy with Mother’s of Murdered Sons and Daughters has felt the pain of losing a son.
“This place is called Edgewater Village and it takes a village to raise a child,” said Samy.
Friday night she and a village were marching for Johnson, his family, and for peace.
15-year-old Khalil Johnson was shot and killed during a party outside of his house. 18-year old Rahzir Meyers is facing several charges including first- and second-degree murder.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office said Johnson and Meyers were in rival gangs.
Samy said Johnson died trying to protect, not harm.
“The word on the street is that when the bullets started flying he saw a little baby and he saved the baby and that’s how he caught the bullet,” Samy said.
A party that ended with the life of a 15-year-old taken, and an 18-year-old who police said pulled the trigger looking at life in prison.
“He had his whole life in front of him and it’s just one other thing that’s unnecessary,” said Councilman Andre Johnson.
Johnson’s funeral services will be held on Saturday, if you would like to help the family click here.
