Baltimore County Police have identified the suspect shot by an officer in Middle River last Thursday as 37-year-old George Greenwood Willinger III of Volz Avenue.
Police say Willinger has been charged with drug possession and handgun violation charges, and will be held without bail.

Willinger remains in the hospital at this time.
Police say they found baggies of a white rock substance, pills and an "owe sheet" during a pat down.

The officer involved in the shooting, identified as seven year veteran Officer Olszewski, has been placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated.
